Dr. David s. Brown

Serving DFW families for over 25 years!

Dr. Brown treats a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions in children, from traumatic injuries like sprains and fractures to congenital issues such as hip dysplasia and limb deformities. He also addresses developmental problems, including scoliosis, cerebral palsy, and muscle diseases.

A Houston native, Dr. Brown completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin and earned his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He underwent his internship and residency at John Peter Smith/Fort Worth Affiliated Hospitals and completed a fellowship at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego. He is board certified in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery.

As a physician and father of two daughters, Dr. Brown is deeply engaged with his community. “I love kids, and I love families,” he says. “I often have a chance to meet families who share connections, such as attending the same church or having kids on the same volleyball team.” In his free time, Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering, snow skiing, and playing volleyball.

Amanda Edwards PA-C

"Go Dragons Baseball, and Hook 'em! I'm so blessed by my family & community."

I'm Amanda Edwards, a Physician Assistant at OUCH Orthopedics. I was born and raised in Texas. I attended the University of Texas of Austin for my bachelor’s degree and received my Master’s degree from the Physician Assistant Program at UT Southwestern. I worked in the Children's Health Emergency department for five years as a PA, before I began working for Dr. Brown in 2015.

I love getting to know our patients and their families at OUCH, and I enjoy watching them grow and participate in the activities that bring them joy. As a mom of two, I am always busy running around the community with my kiddos.

I love cheering on my children from the stands of the baseball field, and from backstage at the dance recitals.  I love spending time with my family and friends, drinking warm coffee, enjoying spicy foods, and proudly supporting the Texas Longhorns.  Hook 'em!

Mary Kvinta PA-C

"Family is everything. Thank you for trusting us with yours!"

Hi! I am Mary Kvinta. I grew up in Houston, and completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin. I received my Physician Assistant degree from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

I am passionate about helping children, and I always knew that I wanted to work in the field of pediatrics. Interacting with families, providing reassurance, and helping kids feel better is what drives me every day. I'm married, and my husband is also a Physician Assistant. I'm also getting a golden doodle puppy in March!

In my free time, I enjoy reading, exercising, traveling, and cooking. I love to cook all types of food! My favorite author is Jane Austen, but I'm also an avid Harry Potter fan and would love to know your favorite Harry Potter character at your next appointment!

Mark Mishak, PA-C

Mark is a Physician Assistant with a passion for pediatric orthopedics, sports medicine, and regenerative medicine. Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, he earned his undergraduate degree from The Ohio State University before completing his Physician Assistant studies at the University of Mount Union. He has been practicing as a Physician Assistant for seven years and has received specialized training in orthobiologics, with a particular interest in regenerative medicine and alternative treatment modalities that promote healing and recovery.

Mark enjoys helping young athletes return to the sports and activities they love. He values the opportunity to care for patients throughout the entire recovery process, from the initial injury through rehabilitation and return to play. Seeing patients improve over time and regain their confidence and function is one of the most rewarding aspects of his work.

His philosophy of care is to treat every patient as an individual and develop the treatment plan that best fits their unique needs and goals. He believes that personalized care and open communication are essential to achieving the best possible outcomes.

Outside of the office, Mark enjoys spending time outdoors, including hiking, fishing, and exploring nature. An interesting fact about Mark is that he broke his nose three times while playing sports in high school, giving him a firsthand appreciation for the challenges athletes face when recovering from injuries.

Alexander Greer, NP

Alexander is a Family Nurse Practitioner with a passion for pediatric orthopedics and sports medicine. Originally from Southaven, Mississippi, he earned his bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Mississippi College, where he was also a collegiate football player. He later served as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach at the University of Southern Mississippi before earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Union University and his Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Memphis.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Alexander gained valuable clinical experience as a registered nurse in the emergency department, where he developed strong assessment and patient care skills. His professional interests include sports medicine, athletic performance, and helping young athletes safely return to the activities they love. He is also a member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.

Alexander enjoys caring for children and their families because of the positivity and resilience children bring to every encounter. He believes in treating every patient and family as he would his own—with respect, integrity, attention to detail, and enthusiasm. He was drawn to pediatric orthopedics by children's remarkable ability to heal and recover, as well as the opportunity to work closely with active and athletic patients.

Outside of the office, Alexander enjoys playing pickleball and golf, reading, kayaking, and spending time with his family.
