Board Certified Pediatric
In addition to treating children with traumatic injuries such as sprains and fractures, Dr. Brown sees patients with a wide variety of conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system.
His patients include children with congenital problems such as hip dysplasia and limb deformities, as well as kids with developmental issues including scoliosis, cerebral palsy, and muscle disease.
Dr. Brown is a Houston native, and he did his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin.
He received his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas.
He completed his internship and residency at John Peter Smith/Fort Worth Affiliated Hospitals and his fellowship at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego.
Dr. Brown is board certified in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery.
As a physician and father of two daughters, Dr. Brown enjoys feeling like an integrated part of his community. “I love kids, and I love families,” he says. “I often have a chance to meet the family close to the child who is injured because we go to the same church, or our kids play on the same volleyball team.” Dr. Brown enjoys spending time with his family, volunteering in the community, snow skiing, and playing volleyball.
More often than not, your child needs to be seen the same day for a suspected broken wrist or strain, or other trauma.
Those critical hours count when it comes to your children, and how quickly their bones heal. That's why we offer same-day appointments for critical cases!
At OUCH Orthopedics, we only care for and treat children and adolescents, even the youngest members of the family! From infancy to 18 years of age, we're here for examination, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing wellness for your children.
We are here for you when you may need it the most, be it on the weekend, or in the evenings. Give us a call and you will speak directly to a member of our staff. We will schedule an appointment for your child so that we can examine, diagnose, and treat them as soon as possible.
